Transforming Skills into Financial Independence

Across Uganda, many children and youth with disabilities face barriers to employment and economic participation. Through targeted capacity-building programmes, these young people are gaining practical skills that prepare them for sustainable livelihoods.

From digital literacy and entrepreneurship to vocational trades and modern agricultural practices, participants receive hands-on training, mentorship, and business support tailored to their needs. These opportunities enable them to compete in the labour market and build successful enterprises.

As a result, many graduates have secured employment, started businesses, and become financially independent. Their achievements are transforming not only their own lives but also the well-being of their families and communities.

These stories demonstrate that when persons with disabilities are given access to education, skills, and opportunity, they become innovators, leaders, entrepreneurs, and agents of change.
